I love your blog site - I’m thinking of starting my own, but I’ll talk to you about it during a dull lecture at Staggers.
Hoorah!
My name is Bryce Philip Wandrey. I am married to Nichole and we have been living happily-ever-after since 29 July 2006.![]()
I was born in Elgin, MN on 27 June 1977. At the time I already had a sister, older of course. Her name is Tricia. My parents are named Lyle and Eileen.
I attended and graduated from the Elgin-Millville School System, before the “evil” combining of school systems with the local rival Plainview. While in school I did my best to get by at homework and devoted most of my efforts to running Cross Country and Track and failing at Basketball. I graduated in 1995.
From there I headed off to St Olaf College in Northfield, MN. There I met a lot of great people and made a lot of great friends. I also had a great time, probably in the process wasting some (if not too much) of my parent’s hard earned money. For awhile I once again devoted most of my efforts and energy to Cross Country and Track. But in the end, I decided that studying is pretty important, buckled down a bit and graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in History.
From there I immediately moved out to Fort Wayne, Indiana to attend Concordia Theological
Seminary. The goal? To be ordained a Lutheran priest in just 4 years time. My second year of training I spent at Westfield House in Cambridge, UK. My third year was an internship year spent at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Streator, IL under the able guidance of John Gutz. The final year of training was back in Fort Wayne. I graduated in 2003 and was shipped to Augustana Lutheran Church in North Carolina for my first placement as a Lutheran priest.
While in Hickory, NC I met Nichole. She wasn’t too sure about me the first time we met and it took me 4 days to get around to calling her for a first date. It was meant to be from the start. Two years later we got married in Minnesota.
On our second date, way back in 2004, I told Niki that I really enjoyed living in England and if she wanted to continue dating me, and inevitably fall in love with me, she had to be willing to move to England at the drop of a hat. She kept dating me and I took that as a license to pursue the “England” dream any time I felt it to necessary (of course, in consultation with her).![]()
Well…that being said, here we are living in Oxford, UK at St Stephen’s House. I haven’t given up being a priest. Just getting a little brush up and fine tuning on some things here. But stay tuned…my “bio” is evolving every day.

Hey - I’ve got a blog site. I set it up last night and I’m trying to find my way around. I opted for the same lay out as you, after spending hours last night playing around (finally hit the sack at 3am hehehe).
I’m now going to send you a invite!
